20th Century

The 20th Century is named after a train that was basically a first-class red-eye from New York to Chicago. It's a riff on the Corpse Reviver #2

The 20th Century cocktail, a most distinguished libation, was first conceived in 1937, an homage to the illustrious 20th Century Limited—a train synonymous with refinement and modern luxury. This elegant concoction marries the dry crispness of gin with the gentle allure of Lillet Blanc, the delicate sweetness of white crème de cacao, and the bright lift of fresh lemon juice. The result is a drink of rare poise and charm, a harmonious union of flavors that speaks to the spirit of progress and sophistication so emblematic of its namesake era. A toast, then, to modernity—in a glass.
